Via dynamic lectures and hands on demos, students learn about a wide range of materials and processes. We explore and discuss paper, paperboards, folding cartons, rigid cartons, corrugated materials, flexible packaging, card packs, foils and pouches, offset lithography, flexography, silk screening, applied ceramic labeling, labels, plastics, glass, films, sustainable materials, augmented reality on labels, smart packaging and emerging technologies. Sketching is covered along with how to communicate in 3-d using form, structure, graphics, image and typography. During the term students learn how to virtually render their packaging using Esko Vizualizing Software.
